A Good Manufacturing Practice claim sits on a stack of documents, and the sheet people occasionally ask to see is the certificate of analysis. Worth knowing what one actually says.

What it covers. Identity, confirming the material is the species claimed. Purity, which mostly means contaminants: heavy metals, microbial counts, residual solvents. Potency, where an ingredient is standardised to a marker compound. And a batch number tying the sheet to one production run.

What it is not. Evidence the product works. It is a quality document rather than an efficacy document. A batch can be spotlessly clean, correctly identified and entirely truthful about its contents while doing nothing whatsoever for the person swallowing it.

Why the identity step carries more weight than the name suggests. Botanical adulteration is a real problem in this trade and it is usually economic rather than malicious: a cheaper related species substituted somewhere up the supply chain. Identity testing at intake is the step that catches it, and requiring that step is part of what GMP exists for.

Where a blend complicates it. A certificate can confirm identity and purity for every raw material without publishing how much of each went into the finished capsule. Quality documentation and quantity disclosure are separate questions, and a proprietary blend answers the first while declining the second.

Who to ask. The manufacturer, not an affiliate site. This domain holds no batch records and would be inventing them if it published any. GMP describes the plant; it is not an FDA approval of the product, and no dietary supplement sold in the United States carries one.
